Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR)

Parents who face the heartbreaking choice to terminate a wanted pregnancy for medical reasons (TFMR) face overwhelming grief just like parents who lose a baby to miscarriage or stillbirth.  Added to that grief are the physical, emotional, political and religious aspects of this decision.  Sadly, parents going through TFMR often struggle to find help, even within the pregnancy loss community. Below are resources specifically geared towards pregnancy loss from TFMR, or which have been checked to be welcoming towards TFMR parents.  You might also check out my general resource page on pregnancy and infant loss.

Local Support Groups

I'm not currently aware of any TFMR support groups available in the Manhattan, KS area.  If you run a loss support group where parents who have made the difficult choice to terminate will be openly welcomed, please send information to me at [email protected].
